Dear Mr Balkwell

I have been asked to respond to your recent letter, dated 12th February 2006 to the Chief Constable.

As you are aware, the issues you have raised have been addressed through a number of different avenues, including the recent correspondence on your behalf from Mr Brokenshire, MP.

As you are aware, the results of the most recent investigation will be reviewed by the Crown Prosecution Service and then in due course, by HM Coroners.

I would like to reassure you that Essex Police continue to keep an open mind on this matter, but will be informed by the evidence available.
