Essex Echo
THE FORMER vice-chairman of Basildon United Football Club has had a 14-year prison sentence cut for his part in a drugs conspiracy.
Kim Webber, 48, of London Road, Leigh, was jailed after he was convicted on charges of conspiracy to produce amphetamines and conspiracy to supply cannabis resin. He and two other men jailed for their part in a plot to supply 49 kilos of cannabis had their "manifestly excessive" sentences cut at London's Appeal Court yesterday.
Webber's sentence was cut to ten years. The second-hand car dealer had been sentenced to seven years for conspiracy to produce amphetamine and another seven years for supplying cannabis.
